FOREST MANAGEMENT PLAN IN VILVIESTRE DEL PINAR STANDS
5TH REVISION OF THE FOREST MANAGEMENT PLAN STANDS IN VILVIESTRE DEL PINAR

Promoted by: Regional Government of Castilla y León, Conserjería de Fomento y Medio Ambiente. Year: 2014

This is the fifth revision of the Forest Management Plan for the “Matarrucha” and “El Monte” stands, located in Burgos province, northern Spain. The plan started in 2016 and will last 10 years.

The aim of this project is to regulate the sustainable use of natural resources within time and space, to maintain natural values of these places and to improve the present habitats. Overall objective is to make compatible several distinct uses of the land: 1) major use of natural resources (wood harvest) and 2) minor uses like hunting, mushrooms exploitation, firewood harvest, and recreational uses of stands, guaranteeing the protective aim that overarches this project.
